計算物質科学アプリ勉強会

～講習会講師を体験し、計算手法、アプリの構造、プレゼン技法等を学ぼう～

Training Workshop on Application Software for Computational Materials Science:
Let’s try to be trainer of our software and learn their computational methods, software structures, and presentation techniques!

CMSIでは、開発したアプリケーションの普及活動の一環として講習会を実施しています。
今回の若手技術交流会では、アプリ（OpenMX, ALPS, xTAPP, Rokko, MODYLAS）のミニ講習会を実施し、各々のソフトウエアの構造とそれらのノウハウの共有を一つ目の目標とします。 また、単に上記アプリを使ってみるだけでなく、講習技法を学び実際に「講習会を作る」経験をすることで、各自が開発したアプリの普及活動を自ら行う事ができる研究者を育成します。
また、自分が開発に携わっていないアプリについて、その適用対象となる物質系や計算手法を学びながら同時に講習会講師を体験することで、非専門家との対話に対する知見を得、今後需要が高まると予想される「実験家と計算物質科学との架け橋になる人材」を養成することも目指します。
CMSI関係者に限らず、アプリ開発および普及活動にご興味のある研究者、学生、企業の方の参加も歓迎します。

CMSI has offered hands-on workshops (at Kobe and Kashiwa) as part of promoting our application software.
In this CMSI technical exchange  meeting for young scientists, we hold several mini hands-on practices of our sowtware (OpenMX, ALPS, xTAPP, Rokko, MODYLAS) to share know-how for software development. Not only by trying using these software but also by learning trainer techniques, “planning hands-on” and “conducting it”, we aim to produce researchers who can both develop and promote their own software. Furthermore, attendances can gain the chance of learning and describing software, that they have not been contributed, for these intended physical matters, models and computational methods. This opportunity gives attendances know-how of a communication with non-specialists and can be useful to cultivate human resources capable of a bridge between experimental and computational materials scientists.
We welcome participants, not only CMSI people, but also students, researchers and technicians from either universities or companies who interest in developments and promotions of any software.

※物質科学、計算科学に関連する研究開発を推進している方はどなたでも参加可能です。実験家や企業の方も是非ご参加ください。Anyone who advances studies regarding materials science, computational science related can take part in. Experimenters are also welcomed.
※無線LAN機能を内蔵したノートPCをご持参下さい。 Please bring PC Wi-fi embedded.

【旅費・宿泊 Travel Expense/Accommodation】

宿泊の手配は、CMSI事務局にて行います。基本的に、1部屋4名となりますのでご了解ください。
旅費・宿泊費は、計算科学に関連する研究員および大学院生に対し予算の範囲で支給いたします。
旅費申請の締め切りは、平成27年1月23日（金）です。
CMSI Office will make an accommodation for all the participants. Please understand basically 4 people in 1 room.
